These terms govern your purchase and use of Levels, a macOS application made by Dale Grant ("we", "us"). By downloading, buying, or using Levels, you agree to them.

The software

Levels is a native macOS menu-bar utility for per-app volume control, mute, and a focus-mode hotkey. It runs entirely on your Mac. It does not require an account and does not send your audio or usage data to us or anyone else.

Your license

When you buy Levels, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on the Macs you own or control, for personal or commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, rent, or sublicense the app or your license key, and you may not attempt to circumvent, disable, or reverse-engineer its licensing.

Free trial

Levels includes a 14-day free trial with full functionality. When the trial ends, a valid license key is required to keep using the app.

Payments and reseller

Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles the transaction, billing, and any applicable sales tax or VAT, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase. Your license key is delivered by email after a successful purchase.

Updates

We may release updates that improve, change, or fix the app. macOS itself changes over time; while we work to keep Levels compatible, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation on every future version of the operating system.

Disclaimer

Levels is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or compatible with every configuration.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Levels is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, with the date shown above.
